Paris Opera to act on racist stereotypes in ballet

The Paris Opera — one of the world’s most revered and traditional companies — has for years been seen as having much work to do on race. It has only a few Black dancers in the ranks of its ballet company and few people of colour in its orchestra or chorus. As recently as 2015, audiences regularly saw dancers in blackface performing on its stages.
